DESERT ED-LEN was the foundation sire for Bluegrass, there at the beginning in 1973,

along with the mares

FALENE {Greylight imp.UK x Falusuf},

FIDELIA {Shafreyn imp.UK x Falusuf}

and ROMILDA {Sindh imp.UK x Raki}.

ED-LEN was a very impressive show horse and his show ring awards are proof of that. He was awarded 1973 Melbourne Royal "Rami" sash for colts,

1973 Pakenham Agricultural Show - Supreme Arabian and Grand Champion of Show,

and Supreme Arabian at that same show the following year,

along with countless other Champion Arabian and Galloway awards.

And when the time came for ED-LEN to be bred to these mares, he proved to be the sire of show winning stock.
